DAWN is a registered charity in the UK which provides weekly audio recordings of the Didcot Abingdon and Wantage newspapers, free of charge, for
the blind and partially sighted.
The DAWN weekly postal service is currently
sadly suspended due to the Coronavirus situation. Click here to listen online.
Instructions to use Alexa to access DAWN recordings are here. Apple device users can see how to access DAWN with the Siri assistant here and the use of Google Home devices is shown here.
Request help with a smart speaker at firstname.lastname@example.org
DAWN posts the recordings to each listener on a USB memory stick which is returned by post. There is no charge or cost to listeners as the Royal Mail does not charge to deliver articles for the blind. DAWN provides free portable MP3 players to all listeners when required.
The links at the top of this page allow you to find out more about DAWN, how to subscribe to the service and how to make contact if you have a query with your recordings or with your player. It also describes all about volunteering with us.
